After attending Art College Linda’s career began to take shape within the carpet industry, creating exclusive designs for hotels, ships, leisure facilities and private individuals. She also did further studies in textile design.
After a few years Linda relocated to Yorkshire to join the studio for a large greetings card company, latterly Hallmark UK. During the seven years here Linda created numerous designs for greetings cards, wrapping paper and stationery products mainly for major retailers such as John Lewis, Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer and WH Smith. Linda then known as (Linda Mumba) embarked on a successful freelance career eventually starting her own greetings card company.
A few years ago Linda discovered her passion for painting landscapes and seascapes, she now enjoys creating on a far larger scale in an impressionistic style, her painting often described as having a sense of peace and tranquility.
She is continuously amazed and inspired by the great outdoors and particularly loves spending time at the coast, particularly Northumberland, Yorkshire, Devon and Cornwall. After many years away from the area latterly in Texas, USA, she now lives in the historic City of Durham.
